What we collect when you claim an item, why we need it, and how long we keep it.

Last updated 1 August 2026

What we collect

We only ask for what a delivery needs:

  • Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, so we can confirm the order and the courier can reach you.
  • Shipping and billing address — to print the label and to check the payment against your card.
  • Payment details — handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are not stored on our servers.
  • Basic usage data — pages visited and rough location, used to keep the site working and spot abuse.

We do not ask for your date of birth, government ID, income or household details, and you never need an account to claim an item.

How we use it

Your details are used to process the claim, take the shipping payment, print the label, answer your support messages and prevent duplicate or fraudulent claims. That is the whole list.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who else sees it

Two parties receive what they need to do their job: the courier gets your name, address and phone number, and the payment processor gets your card and billing details.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. If that happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to remember your cart and saved items between pages. It expires when you close the browser, and blocking it will empty your cart on every page load.

How long we keep it

Order records stay for two years, which covers tax and dispute obligations. Support conversations are removed after twelve months. Saved items live only in your browser session.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, or ask us to delete your record once your orders are closed. Email support@zerocart.example with your order number and we will respond within thirty days.
