Terms & Conditions

The rules for claiming donated items through ZeroCart. Using the site means you accept them.

Last updated 1 August 2026

Who can claim

You must be at least 18 and give a real, deliverable address. One claim per item per household, so that more people get a chance at the same donation.

Claims and availability

Every listing is a single donated item. Placing a claim is a request, not a guarantee; if two people claim the same item within moments of each other, the first confirmed order wins and the second is cancelled and refunded in full.

We may cancel a claim if the item turns out to be unsafe, if the address cannot be delivered to, or if we see repeated claims from the same household.

Payment

Items are $0.00. The only amount charged is the $8.50 flat shipping fee, shown in full on the order summary before you confirm. We take payment when the order is placed, and the total never changes afterwards.

Payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card number.

Condition of items

These are used goods given away by their previous owners. We inspect and grade each one, describe any damage we find, and photograph it as it is.

Beyond that, items are supplied as they are, with no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. Test electricals before relying on them.

Fair use

Do not resell items claimed here, automate claims, submit false details, or attempt to interfere with the site. We close accounts and cancel orders where we see it.

Liability

Our responsibility for any claim is limited to the shipping amount you paid on the order in question. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms occasionally. The version in force when you place an order is the one that applies to it, and the date above tells you when this version was published.
